Nancy graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Fairview College. She also completed the Travel Counselling program at SAIT. Her lifelong passion for animals eventually guided her into veterinary medicine, although she explored two other careers before finding her true calling. Today, she brings both experience and heart to her dual role as Practice Manager and RVT.
Within veterinary medicine, Nancy enjoys the variety and purpose that come with rescue work, nursing, clinical procedures, and the leadership responsibilities of management. She takes great pride in being part of a well-established, trusted clinic in the community, and she loves working alongside the incredible team at Signal Hill. The pace and unpredictability of each day keep her sharp and are part of what she enjoys most.
Nancy’s life outside the clinic is filled with adventure and accomplishment. Born in Halifax, she served seven years in the Navy, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp, and spent a year backpacking around the world. She has volunteered at spay and neuter clinics in Mexico and embraces every opportunity that involves travel, organization, and a touch of adrenaline.
At home, Nancy shares her life with Captain Jack, her beloved 16-year-old cat. Her rich experiences, passion for animals, and dynamic leadership make her an invaluable member of the Signal Hill team.
